The Magic of Stained Glass Art: The Story of My Animal Mirror
When it comes to decorating our homes, it’s the details that truly matter. A unique piece not only fills the space with life but also tells stories. In my first blog post, I’d like to introduce you to one of these special creations: the animal mirror that I crafted using the Tiffany technique.
The Beauty of the Tiffany Technique
This mirror is not just a functional object but a piece of art that embodies all the beauty of the Tiffany technique. Developed in the late 1800s, this method is based on the precise fitting and soldering of glass pieces. What makes this mirror truly special is that it was made from recycled glass shards, making every part of it unique and unrepeatable.
The Source of Inspiration
Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and they often appear in my work. In this mirror, I chose to depict a deer, adorned with colorful glass flowers. The elegance and dignity of the deer inspired me to choose this form, and I carefully selected the colors of the glass pieces to reflect the beauty of nature.
The Creation Process
Creating each stained glass piece is a challenging yet immensely rewarding process. I hand-cut and carefully fitted the glass pieces together, then soldered them with lead to create a durable yet delicate work of art. I also custom-designed the outline of the mirror and the deer’s antlers to perfectly complement any room in the home.
